Our thanks to everyone who traveled
with us thus far this year,
as we are now into our 20th year!
SOME FEATURE PHOTOS:

This bird occurred in North America only 5 times in the 20th Century.
Most recently, in Canada. 2 other times in Canada. Once in the US.
And once in another country on the west side of the North Atlantic.
It has been found on FONT tours in 4 countries east of the Atlantic.

Read more about the CORNCRAKE
in List #1 of NORTH AMERICA BIRDS. Link above.

This animal, a SEROW, was seen during
a recent FONT tour in Japan.

The photos here are 3 of 1200 in this web-site, of assorted nature:
mostly birds, but also mammals (as above), amphibians, reptiles,
butterflies, dragonflies, damselflies, marine life, wildflowers,
other plants, celestial phenomena, and more.
There's a link above to a directory of the photographs.

In the photo below, there are 3 birds.
A mother Potoo & her two babies.

During Focus On Nature Tours, we see birds mostly.
But the other nature that we also see include:
Mammals, Butterflies, Plants,
Amphibians & Reptiles.

On the left-side of this home-page
there are links to lists of each of these
at the various places we go.
Take a look at some,
especially those with photos,
and it'll be evident that
there's such a vast array of nature
to see, for those who look closely.
Among the birds we never tire of seeing
are hummingbirds.
Above is a male Gray-tailed Mountaingem
of Costa Rica.
(This & the above  photo of the potoos
courtesy of Ruben Campos).

During many FONT tours throughout the Americas,
hummingbirds are seen, in places as diverse
as Arizona (especially in the late summer),
Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica,
Venezuela, Brazil, Chile, and on Caribbean islands.
There's a link below, on the right-side of this home-page,
  to Hummingbird Photographs,
including, for example, 3 of the rare Mexican Sheartail
taken during a FONT tour in March 2009
in the Yucatan of Mexico.

1 of 14 species of hummingbirds
that have been seen during FONT tours in Arizona.

Annually there have been Focus On Nature Tours,
for now 20 years, in over 25 countries.

Particularly notable are our JAPAN birding & nature tours
(in winter, and the spring)

Our CARIBBEAN birding & nature tours have been
to 7 West Indian islands.

Our EUROPEAN birding & nature tours have been in:
Spain, Sweden, Iceland, Hungary, & Poland.

In NORTH AMERICA, our birding & nature tours have been  in:
Alaska, Arizona, California & Washington State, Delaware;
Colorado & Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, & Wyoming;
Florida,  North Carolina, New Jersey, Texas & New Mexico.

In CENTRAL & SOUTH AMERICA, our birding & nature tours
have been in: Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala,
Honduras, Mexico, Panama,
Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, and Venezuela.
A specialty of the FONT (Focus On Nature Tours) program,
for 15 years, was the doing of  one-day pelagic trips
for seabirds and marine mammals
offshore from the Eastern USA
(New Jersey, Delaware & North Carolina),
with also, during that time and since, other pelagic trips
elsewhere in the world - notably in Chile & Japan.
