    Notes:

    "Masked Bobwhites" (a distinctive subspecies of the Northern Bobwhite, Colinus virginianus ridgwayi) were gone from southern Arizona by the early 1900s.   

    The last confirmed sighting of a California Condor in southern Arizona was in 1885. 

    The Aplomado Falcon disappeared from southern Arizona by 1880. 

    Thick-billed Parrots were, formerly, visitants from Mexico to montane coniferous forests in southern Arizona. There were no confirmed sightings in Arizona after 1938.

    Two specimens of the Bumblebee Hummingbird, of Mexico, were taken in Ramsey canyon in July 1896. The species has not been noted in Arizona since.
