   Focus On Nature Tours
in the
Caribbean
in 2015 and 2016

enjoyable birding and nature tours
with West Indies birds: endemics, specialties, rarities
and other nature, including butterflies,
amphibians and reptiles, and marine life.

Focus on Nature Tours has been conducting birding
and nature tours on various islands in the West Indies
in the Caribbean for nearly 25 years.
In Puerto Rico, there have been 27 FONT tours.
In the Dominican Republic, 19.
In Saint Lucia, 15 FONT tours,
In Saint Vincent, 10. In Dominica, 7.
In Jamaica, 10, and in the Cayman Islands, 5.
Also there have been Focus On Nature Tours
in Antigua, Barbuda, and Guadeloupe.

On all the islands that we visit, our aims are to see as
many of the endemic and specialty birds and butterflies
as we can, as well as other interesting nature, and to
have a most enjoyable time while doing so.

Below there are links to a 2-part list including over
350 species of birds that occur in the Caribbean, noting
those that have been found during FONT tours,
indicating where and when, along with info about
subspecies and some local names on particular islands.
The status of rarities is noted, along with info about
birds that formerly occurred in the region, but now sadly
are extinct.
Also below, there are links to lists of Caribbean
butterflies, moths, amphibians and reptiles, mammals,
and various marine-life. Please click and take a look.

In Jamaica,  the
Red-billed Streamertail, or "Doctorbird"

Itineraries for FONT Caribbean birding & nature tours follow. Some of these tours can be done in combination.
