This photograph, of a hummingbird in Brazil,
is one of about 60 in a feature
about HUMMINGBIRDS
with a link below
on the right-side of this page.

We'll soon be going, in July 2009,
to where there will be a Total Solar Eclipse,
as in the photo below.
In Japan, that tour is sold-out.

We'll also be going, in October 2009,
to where there will be
beautiful AURORA BOREALIS,
or "Northern Lights",
as in the photo below.
In Iceland, that tour still has room.

The photos above are a few of nearly 1,000 photographs,
of birds, mammals, butterflies,
amphibians, reptiles, and other nature

Annually there have been Focus On Nature Tours,
for about 19 years, in about 25 countries.
Particularly notable are Japan birding tours (in winter, and the spring); Caribbean birding tours (to 7 West Indian islands);
European birding tours (to Spain, Hungary, Poland, Sweden, Iceland). In North America, birding tours have been  to: Arizona, California & Washington State, Colorado & Kansas, Florida,  North Carolina, Texas & New Mexico, and Alaska.
In Central & South America, there are FONT birding tours in
Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama,
Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, and Venezuela.
A specialty of the FONT (Focus On Nature Tours) program,
for 15 years, was the doing of  one-day pelagic trips
for seabirds and marine mammals
offshore from the Eastern USA
(New Jersey, Delaware & North Carolina),
with also, during that time and since, other pelagic trips
elsewhere in the world - notably in Chile & Japan.
